Darkened Road Ahead artist book and CD

$35.00

Darken Road Ahead is an Americana album that reflects singer/songwriter Danny Wilson’s experience performing concerts in Oregon prisons and the relationships he has developed with adults in custody over the past two years. Wilson’s music is peppered with sly musical and cultural references that pay homage to folk heroes, the country canon, and train rails cutting across the landscape. His songs are a window into the interior struggle and are written from multiple perspectives — from the personal, to stories from Cash’s biography and people he has met on the Oregon Prison Tour. Luther’s Boots is comprised of Wilson (guitar/keys/vocals), Zach Holden (lead guitar), Wyatt Unger (bass), and Kevin Peterson (drums/backup vocals). Adults in Custody at Warner Creek Correctional Facility in Lakeview, OR worked with Wilson to record backup vocals for two songs on the album.

Proceeds from the sale of the book benefits Folsom50, which brings art and music programs to Oregon Prisons.

Cumbersome Multiples studio artist books contain original prints, lyrics, and liner notes. Wilson carved linocut images that are printed throughout the book. Made and hand-bound as a limited edition of 100. www.cumbersomemultiples.com
